This is the third stay in hot tub log cabins, twice in woodpecker and first time in tawny owl, both were meticulously cleaned with checklist telling you what was done,... read more it has a dishwasher and spacious fridge freezer which we found very useful, Serena and Keith are genuinely lovely host and are happy to help with anything you ask for. We like a fire pit, which we rang Reception and it was delivered by dusk on days asked complete with logs, they take it away to clean the next day.
We have already booked for next year back in the woodpecker which is more disabled friendly with no steps.
If I really HAD to say a downside I’d only have to bemoan the hard mattresses in both rooms, we slept on top of duvet to soften and bought blankets.
The hot tub is good but by day 5 it needed some maintenance but it wasn’t worth saying about it as we were going out on day 7, but I’m certain if I had spoken to owners they would’ve done something about it. They are very good.
We love the forest and in our minds eye we can take home the memory of looking up at the frees in the sunshine while floating around in the hot tub. Can’t wait till next time.
